Rhythm & Mantra by Emam & Mahalakshmi
We are a soulmate musician duo offering a spiritual journey, an awakening, through kirtan, mantra & original music to audiences around the world. We encourage the audience to sing along with us in unison, creating a bridge to the bliss which is our birthright.
The kirtan we offer is in the tradition of Sanatan Dharma originating from the sages of ancient India in their infinite wisdom. We carry on this tradition with audiences around the world, as the concentration on the Names of the Divine is the most potent force of yoga in this age.
We are trained musicians with many years of experience enthralling audiences with our music and devotion, and are sure to create an experience which touches the soul.

Seabury Gould
Kirtan is a part of Bhakti (Devotional) yoga. In this way of singing together, we remember names of God & Goddess & we join a stream of consciousness & devotion that's been flowing for centuries. We do call-and-response chanting & interweave Seabury's playing of guitar, bouzouki & bamboo flute & Colby's Tabla playing. Kirtan is a vessel that can hold love, longing, union, despair, sadness, ecstasy & divine Grace. Singing kirtan is an opportunity to open up & experience Nada Brahma: Sound is God. Our voices blend with Sanskrit words & the exquisite rhythms from the tabla, as we co-create an experience of the worshipful meditation of sound. Seabury lived in India for 2 years where he studied Hindustani & Karnatic music. He has studied with master teachers such as Ali Akbar Khan (ragas, vocal music), G. S.Sachdev (bansuri flute) & Dr K. Subramaniam (Karnatic vina). Through music, one can reach the Divine.
